Movie Review: Avengers 2: Age of Ultron
Apr. 27th, 2015 07:03 pmIt's really difficult to top the sucess that was Avengers, because its a simple fact of escalation - it needs to be 'more!' Also, the three intermediary movies (Iron Man 3, Thor 2 and Cap 2) were pretty darn awesome IMHO with the only downside to each movie being.... no avengers. Each hero did their own thing without picking up the phone and saying: 'Hey, I need some help.'
I understand the MCU PTBs approach to all these movies, tv series and spin offs. I do. I have read countless reviews on various installments who have complained that Cap 2, Thor 2 or insert whichever movie you want, that it felt like a filler movie, an extra long episode in the grand scheme of the MCU story board.
And you know what... I don't frigging care! I loved Iron Man 3 (smishes Pepper). I loved Thor 2 (smishes Thor/Sif/Jane/Darcy) and wellll.... I really really really loved Wintersoldier (smishes EVERYONE).

Its a public holiday tomorrow so I am meeting my sister for our monthly sushi lunch and afterwards, I am off to see Avengers: Age of Ultron.( no spoilers please... )
and on that happy note, I leave you with three parting remarks:

Mar. 17th, 2013 09:31 pmI caught the last 30 minutes of the Avengers on tv last night and that particular section of the movie makes me smile like a loon and squeal with glee every single time. The fight sequences, the humour, the lines, the hurt, just everything *smishes Joss and cast*. Gosh, I can watch it over and over and over again - I have in fact - and know most of it off by heart.

Have you ever found yourself swimming in unfamiliar waters? Well, the last few weeks, I have been paddling in a very unexpected fic/fandom pool. I am ridiculously excited about the upcoming Avengers film, and could quite happily rewatch Thor, Captain America and Iron Man over and over again if I had the time.
dearclaudiapriscus introduced me to some interesting Avenger fic and then... I found a whole slew of Clint Barton/Darcy Lewis stories. There isn't a huge amount but what there is - is cute will written and well... hilarious. And I find myself hoarding the remaining fics like candy. I don't like pairing/shipping fics. I read fanfic for h/c and drama and plot and action. Not romance.
?Why? then so much love for this Clint/Darcy fic?
