1. I love that people (not me) got dressed up for the premier and we had a handful of hobbits, elfs and rangers \o/
2. Holy crap, Richard Armitage as Thorin in HAWT! And so is Kili *fans self* - I see much Thorin/Kili fanfic on the horizon on fffnet.
3. Martin Freeman you beautiful, beautiful man. I love your Bildo *hearts*
4. I am so glad that PJ is expanding on aspects of the story and giving them flesh and weight and a voice. GAh! Much better effort than trying to bolster the Arwen/Aragorn story. This... this... is masterful. *doesn't care about flagrant canon abuse*
5. Benedict Cumberpatch!!! And Martin Freeman in the same movie. Just typical of Sherlock. Can't let Watson have his own adventure... no, got to lurk in the shadows
6. THREE Movies??? how on earth did I miss that?? I thought there were only two!!! Three!!!!!!!! *wails* and *flails* (I've tried not to be spoiled as much as one can when one has read the book a dozen times so... yeah)
7. I'm seeing it again.
A better review will follow... maybe after the second viewing.

Who's in? :)
Whatever your preferences around bad movies might be, this isn't the post to discuss your predilication for crappy horrors or smoochy rom coms (well, if you want to you can). No, no. This post is about movies you actually loved. Movies that you watch and enjoy and wax eloquent about.... except for 'that' scene.
I don't think I am the only one who feels like this *hopes to self in any event* but sometimes you'll watch a movie, love it to pieces but your unqualified love is qualified by one small/big/scene/character/actor. The writer in me usually steps in at this point, waves her ink stained hands around and cries, "NO, it should have gone like this!!" and I rewrite the moment/scene/character in my head.
I am aware that no everyone will share the same 'do not want' moment, and one person's 'finger in the eye' scene is another's 'I have to make a gif out of that'. But, I nonetheless have a short list of movies I LOVE that just one (or two) scenes that in my opinion needed to be redone/reshot/rewritten. This - is that list. (and yes, I would love to hear if you have any too, so as to validate my weirdness)
Item 1: Return of the King - Reunion scene in Houses of Healing
( home is behind... )
Item 2 - Spiderman 2 - Dr Ock's Tentacles go on a killing spree.
( with great power... )
But this fic rocks as a post-movie fic - Just a Face on a Train
Item 3 - The Princess Bride - The 'Machine' scene
( to blathe... )
And that's it - my list of movies that had so much potential, but failed.... is much longer :)
