Date: 2012-08-06 12:22 pm (UTC)Steve is kinda clueless about real life ;) He completely gets and understands military life, and living on the edge. But 'reality' and 'people' seem beyond him at the moment. This is why Danny, Kono and Chin fit into his life so easily - they are his check, his balance.
Except, the Navy is such a key aspect of Steve's life, he doesn't want (and refuses to) lose the perspective that life gave him. The clarity. The purpose. The simplicity of knowing what to do and doing it.
