I've spotted on this on a few folks on my flist and since all the cool kids are doing it: Meme picked up from kriadydragon, and schneefink :

Pick a fandom you think I'm familiar with (or see tags) and I'll tell you:

1. The first character I first fell in love with
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
3. The character everyone else loves that I don’t
4. The character I love that everyone else hates
5. The character I used to love but don’t any longer
6. The character I would totally smooch

Oooo, tough one. Uhm, how about: Buffy :)

1. The first character I first fell in love with - Angel (surprise surprise)

2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now - Willow. I liked her from teh beginning but I think I like her more now, than even Buffy or any of the others :)

3. The character everyone else loves that I don’t - Faith.

4. The character I love that everyone else hates - not too sure. I think the love is fairly well spread around. Riley, maybe?

5. The character I used to love but don’t any longer - Cordelia. She grew on me and then I liked her for a wee bit and then ... no.

6. The character I would totally smooch - Oz

7. The character I’d want to be like - Willow

8. The character I’d slap - Drusilla

9. A pairing that I love - Willow/Oz and then Willow/Tara

10. A pairing that I despise - Spike/Buffy and Cordelia/Angel (ok, that one is more Angel verse, but I think you'll let it slide :))

I never liked Faith ever.I think there is a difference between being a smart-ass, a bad-ass and a pain-in-the-ass. I also never liked Cordelia/Angel (and I tend to count Angel and Buffy as one verse myself, so yeah, I will let that slide). I have mixed feeling about Spike/Buffy myself.

This *points to comment above* is why you are awesome :)

I have a feeling that if Whedon could be convinced to stop killing off characters and if the shows had continued that everyone would have dated everyone else at least once - before the world imploded from the angst. I often wondered at teh a) attraction and b) suitability of those two relationship in no 10 :)
