I'm ... yeah...
Fire and Ice and Rage, like a storm in the heart of a sun. Ancient and Forever. And he's wonderful.
And I don't want him to go either :(
Ten/Tennant - I salute you
I liked The Next Doctor and Planet of the Dead. More Planet of the Dead - because it was Lara Croft on Tatooine, and well... kinda cool. I even liked Lee Evans, and that's saying something.
But the Waters of Mars? Erm... the basis of so many sci fi shows and movies is: explorers/colonists go to new places and meet alien race who is either going to kill them on purpose or accident. Its sci fi cliche, but I tend to like those stories. Dr Who cliche is the Dr stumbling on people in a crisis and only managing to save a few. So, when you have sci fi cliche meet Dr Who cliche, you should give us something truly spectacular. I am also beginning suspect that the TARDIS has it in for the Dr. She's always dropping him in the middle of truly horrib scenario's. If I had written that special, the Dr would have walked away and not gone back to the base. I didn't like the melodrama at the end.
And then 'The End of Time.'
Yeah, I have very little that is good to say about these specials. The good was: Bernard Cribbins and Donna. Actual whump for the Doctor - yeah, I liked the 'worst rescue eva!' and the alien cacti with the shimmers were hilarious. The rest... yeah... no.
I am really going to miss Ten. I am ridiculously excited about more Eleven episodes but I'm going to miss Tennant's hair, acting ability and laugh. I'm not going to miss his tongue though. :)
