I have become very fond of Ten. Excessively so.I still like Eleven more, but David Tennant, you have a place in my Scottish loving heart. I am especially fond of his profile and hair. In any capping frenzy, its the profile shots and hair that get the focus.

Just the specials left now for Ten then onto Eleven. Ah, Ten. <3

But on to the actual thoughts about S4 finale.

I am not 100% sure if I like or dislike these three episodes. On one hand I like the return of 'everyone' still alive in the Doctor's small circle of friends, but on the other hand, I still don't like the Tylers, or Mickey. And somehow in two years, Billie Piper has adopted Kiera Knightley's infuriating 'jaw' speak.

I did like Donna's 'Its a wonderful life episode' BUT I do not like Super!Rose who jumps through Alternate Realities being all mysterious.

I liked the collabrative efforts of everyone to save the world, especially seeing Torchwood in brief, and Sarah Jane again. But, the Daleks? Really? I still can't take them seriously.

A positive for this finale was that it was slightly less over the top compared to season 3 finale BUT I don't know if I like the DoctaDonna thing. And the beach scene with Rose and two Doctors felt too much like old history revisted unnecessarily. Yeah, I cheered that Rose finally got 'a' Doctor to love her, since all the Companions seem to be on this one sided unrequited love. BUT it still felt too drawn out and overworked.

And then Donna. Dear Donna. I was afraid she might die or something, but loosing her memories and returning to her old life was a bit of a let down. And plot holey. Surely its been more than a few days since she left... how will her Gramps explain the long gaps. And I know its partly to make way for a new Doctor and Amy, but still... I like Donna. I really really do. Another sad note is that I didn't really buy the 'wonderful and fantastic' time she had with the Doctor. Unless Ten and her went on a whole lot of trips we didn't see, her journeys with the Doctor were depressing and dark. Ah, Donna. I'm glad you came back, and I will miss you.

I hope the Specials will be good, as I am keen to get stuck into season Five and Six properly. My final blather is on Prof River Song. I have seen the season five episode with her, but I don't know if she's in a special or not, however.. I am spoiled enough to know that she is in season 6. I like the idea of a person knowing more about the Doctor (in season four) than he knows about her. I like the time travelness of it all, with the 'spoilers' BUT I don't know if I like knowing the end before the beginning. It's like knowing the star crossed lovers fate before they meet, and I've never enjoyed watching a train wreck. I will try and remain optimistic!
