Castle, season 6 so far

I must say I was a little annoyed with the cliffie ending of season 5. It felt... too soap opera-ish and OTT, but I was willing to go with it. Now though, the opening episodes of season 6 have me on the fence. I love them, because it's still Castle and he's awesome and he shock-kissed the Captain as a strategy! but it also feels weird.... which is also perhaps a sign that the 'overhanging weirdness of Castle's disapperance' is working. The fence for me (the one I am circling warily) is I don't know if I like the 'disappearance' subplot. It feels too... I have no words, too peculair for Castle?

I really enjoy Castle but this amnesia thing... idk, it seems like it's going to be rather predictable. The show is going to have to pull off something totally unexpected and brilliant to get me buying into it as a subplot this season.

Yeah..... I am with you on the subplot. I will be optimistic but I am also expecting to be disappointed
