Yes! They're fantastic! Enthusiastically seconded. I wasn't even a big Jane Austen fan before, and detailed knowledge of the book (or any, probably) isn't even necessary. The actors are great, the writing is funny and warm and then heartbreaking, it makes you care about all the characters, and it has lots of great extras on twitter and tumblr etc.
Thirded, and I say this as someone who is not enamored of Pride and Prejudice. But I have so much catching up to do...I think I left it off at episode 23 or 24...
I have to concur with everyone else! I think I am about half way through the ones that have already been made and I love them. I don't know my Jane Austen as well as some as my other literature (I tend to confuse some of the details on the books)but these are so much fun!
Why didn't I know about this? And why did I watch the first two episodes on a day when I have tons of papers to grade, a puppy to entertain, and cleaning to do?
The first two are adorable. Jane would be pleased, I think. :)
