I love October!

Pretoria is a riot of purple with all of the Jacaranda trees blooming. Joburg is lush and green with splashes of colour from flowering trees. Everything looks fresh and clean after all the rains, the drab browns and greys of winter buried under Spring. And late afternoon is my favourite when the setting sun gives everything a golden aura and hue, the light thick and beautiful. If I get married, I am going to get married in October.

However, I am leaving the fresh and beautiful confines of busy Joburg (which is perhaps only beautiful because the traffic is so terrible) for the quieter, cleaner climes of the coast. Beach here I come. 2 weeks of sun and sea, with books, lunches on the beach and dolphin spotting. And this means, alas, limited internet access. But the major plus is... writing time. I plan on finishing my two WIPs, cracking out my Sheppard h/c fic, maybe finishing the epic Wing!fic Shep AU and ... if I have time and the muse permits, start the next installment of Supply and Demand.

So, dear flist. I will be around. but sporadically. :) *tips hat* Can't wait for Monday and that jetplane :)

Sorry to hear that. My love for october is for different reasons. Our autumn is pretty cool, but we have less 'falling' of leaves and more rain. Thanks m'dear.

Have a great vacay. We just got back from 8weeks in the US and everyone keeps telling us how relaxed we look. Vacations matter.
