Teen Wolf Season 5b
I liked it. I must admit I was pleasantly suprised.
I didn't really enjoy the first half, Theo breaking up the pack. I appreciate the pace and sheer villiany of it all, but it was also sad. I was (and continue to be) miffed at how the show constantly undercuts the 'strength' of Scott. No really. We end one season with him as 'super' alpha demonstrating super powers and wham, next season, its like its all forgotten. Ok, not all, but most. Sure Theo poisoned him, and undermined his confidence and.... *mutters* I just want him to kick ass from day one and not get knocked down all the time. *mutters* I know I know, I just posted about how in Avengers I LIKED all the complex, breaking up things and from that perspective I did like season 5a. I did. I liked the aspects of Theo driving wedges in the pack and splitting them off. I just have this thing about Scott going from super to zero back to super.
Anyhoo, season 5b. Awesome. Getting the pack back. Figuring stuff out. Awesome big bad in the Beast. Nice reveal on Mason. Ridiculous french accents (LOL). Allison. Stiles saving Lydia. Clever Scott in the end. As cool as Kira is, I don't think she and Scott had the same kind of chemistry as Allison and Scott, so I don't mourn her departure too much. I liked Malia's side story.
I do miss Derek though. (I'm busy rewatching season 2, so so much awesome humour and everything). I miss goofy Stiles. I miss the lightness.
Still, I liked it.
