*squees* Actually just got back from seeing it! I'm a little bit of two minds about it - great special effects; liked Tauriel even though plot-wise she was totally unnecessary, also did like the bit of romance which, given Kili's total cuteness, the attraction was very understandable; there was an awful lot of running around but very little advancement of the story line for all that effort. All in all, wasn't boring in the least and I enjoyed it, but it seemed kind of light, almost hollow; all flash and little substance.
Mind you, might have gotten a little bit distracted gazing at Thorin at the beginning, so I might have missed something lol!
